Thank you for your answer, now we sent you some additional information about the Sovereign Sanctuary of Bulgaria.

The Ancient and Primitive Rite of Masonry, Disciples of Memphis, was founded as a Grand Lodge at Bulgaria, the 14.01.1884 year, by the three Illustrious Brothers – Vedur, Popov and Jumaliev with help, authorization and consultation with mother lodge The Grand Orient of Portugal (Grande Oriente Lusitano).

First Grand Lodge in Bulgaria survive for a short period of time because was forced by civil politics to put all the Lodges in Bulgaria asleep. Totalitarian regimes in Bulgaria, both Nationalist and Communist, have treated Bulgarian Freemasonry as a potential source of opposition due to its secret nature and international connections. Freemasonry was suppressed throughout Eastern Europe, including in Bulgaria, during the Communist era.

The Egyptian Rite of Memphis, after an long interval of sleep, recommenced work at Sofia, in 2007, when it is reactivated regulary with initiation of Grand Hierophant Bro. Mihail Georgiev, on 03.03.2007 by General Grand Hierophant of the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis and Misraim of the Grand Orient of Italy, Giancarlo Seri 33:. 90:.97:.. In 2008 Our Worshipful Rite revived its work at the Orient of Sofia as dual Masonic-Illuministic system that contains in itself various forms of the esoteric initiatic tradition.

In recent times we have continuation of this authentic initiatic transmission via Grand Orient of Italy and Sovereign Italian Sanctuary; we think so. We have affiliation not directly with GOI, but with our Mother Lodge – Sovereign Italian Sanctuary of A.P.R.M.M.; of course they are members of GOI.

We have three Lodges:

A. Akhenaten – Symbolic Lodge

B. Thoth – Symbolic Lodge

C. Osiris – The Lodge of Perfection

And one Committee – Esoteric Committee.

Of course, there are a few problems.

The main is that the Freemasonry in Bulgaria function under two Grand Lodge structures, namely the United Grand Lodge of Bulgaria (UGLB) and the Grand Lodge AF&AM of Bulgaria (GLAFAMB) – we are members of the latter. Last year, The Commission on Information for Recognition encouraged the two Grand Lodges to meet and work toward the resolution of their differences. After five years of unsuccessfully urging the two organizations to actively pursue avenues of unification, the Commission will not receive any additional presentations from either Grand Lodge until there is substantive evidence of progress in resolving their differences.

In conclusion, we must state that we believe our Grand Lodge practice regular Masonry.

But these problems indirectly influenced our relationship with GOI and Sovereign Italian Sanctuary of A.P.R.M.M.

We share recognition with: The Supreme Council, 33° of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite in Bulgaria, Southern Jurisdiction, USA (all our members are also members of A.A.S.R.)

Now we for the fist time seek international recognition.

Thank you for your quick answer.

We stated clearly in our previous letter that (cit):

That’s simply mean in diplomatic language – that is – masonic language – that our relations with the G.O.I. also are not good, due to a lack of mutual understanding.

They not understand situation in Bulgarian Masonry very well.

And of course we know that G.O.I. no longer has international recognition. And this is our problem, speeking frankly.

That is the reason we seek international recognition and brotherly support outside range of G.O.I.

The Sovereign Sanctuary of The Ancient and Primitive Rite of Masonry in Bulgaria is independent masonic structure with very old history, since year 1884. G.O.I. only help us to reactivate our Worshipful Rite in 2007 after the democratic political changes. But until this day they did nothing positive for us. We also respect Giancarlo Seri, but have deep disagreement with him about future of A.P.R.M.M. in Bulgaria

At this moment we are not in any masonic relationship with the G.O.I.

Il laicismo è l’atteggiamento filosofico, politico e sociologico di chi propugna la totale “separazione tra Stato e Chiesa”, ovvero l’assenza di interferenze religiose o confessionali, dirette o indirette, nell’ambito legislativo, esecutivo e giudiziario di uno Stato e più in generale nella vita civile di una comunità umana e nei suoi aspetti.

Buona parte delle critiche rivolte al laicismo consistono nel sostenere che questa posizione comporti ostilità  nei confronti della Chiesa e delle altre istituzioni religiose.

Il laicismo ammette l’esistenza sul territorio dello Stato di istituzioni religiose, e la possibilità che queste possano esprimere posizioni morali, politiche o sociali, ma ciò fin quando queste non vengano imposte, in forza di legge, anche a chi non le condivide.

Alcune tra le Chiese cristiane, l’ortodossia in particolare e alcune confessioni protestanti, giudicano limitativa la possibilità di “permettere a tutti di esercitare la propria fede, poiché ritengono che  “tolleranza” e “rispetto” tra le religioni stesse e le istituzioni laiche sia un principio assoluto.

In più ritengono costituisca una immotivata repressione della dimensione sociale della loro fede, nel Vangelo secondo Matteo è infatti scritto che Gesù disse: “Chi dunque mi riconoscerà davanti agli uomini, anch’io lo riconoscerò davanti al Padre mio”. Vero è che nei Vangeli è anche scritto “Date a Cesare quello che è di Cesare e a Dio quello che è di Dio”

Long Range Plan Strategic Initiatives

Background: 
Recognizing the benefit to be gained by continuing programs which have more than a one year life span, the Grand Master tasked the Long Range Planning Team to reevaluate the Long Range Plan. In addition, the other elected officers in the Grand Line committed to continue their support and execution of the Plan.
  The Vision for the Grand Jurisdiction for the next five years and beyond is still as relevant today as it was when it was developed in 2000:
Freemasons of Washington will be recognized as a relevant and respected Fraternity, committed to attracting and retaining all men of high quality, who strive for self-improvement and the opportunity to make a positive difference in their community.
The Pillars of Progress, as developed in 2000, will continue to be the supports which will lead to the achievement of the Vision. They are:
Grand Lodge Organization
Education and Training
Technology
Family Involvement
Community Involvement
Public Relations
Fraternalism
Cooperation with Concordant Organizations
With these Pillars as the focus, the Long Range Planning Team was tasked to assemble an ad hoc committee to assess where we are as a Grand Jurisdiction with regards to the Long Range Plan and offer suggestions for it to be updated. Masons were invited to participate who had been identified as current or future leaders in their constituent lodges, leaders in their Districts, or leaders within the Grand Jurisdiction. Through seminar type discussions, opinions and ideas were received and have been incorporated into this iteration of the Long Range Plan.
The Long Range Plan is intended to be a living document, to be updated on an annual basis, or as frequently as deemed necessary. It solicits inputs from all Masons at any time so timely changes may be made to assist in achieving the Grand Lodge Vision.
Situation:
Hours spent at our usual vocations, as well as commuting to and from the job, leave much less time for participation in activities outside the home. Therefore, to become involved or join an organization, it must fulfill a want or need. And yet, men of all ages are once again being drawn to Freemasonry. What attracts them to our fraternity is as diverse as the individuals themselves. What is clear, however, is that lodge activities must be worth the expenditure of this their limited leisure time. In short, the participation must be relevant to the individual and enable him to see the benefit to himself, his family, the Fraternity, and Society as a whole.
The Leadership of the Grand Lodge of Washington recognizes that to be successful, it must start at the constituent lodge level. However, there are several ways the Grand Lodge can assist. The Grand Lodge has access to assets, which are not available at the local level. The function of this plan and its execution will be to make these additional assets readily available to all lodges throughout the Grand Jurisdiction.
Pillars of Progress:
Each of the eight Pillars of Progress is essential to the attainment of strategic initiatives proposed by the Grand Lodge Elected Officers and adopted by the body of the Grand Lodge at its Annual Communication. Within each pillar there are broad or non-specific areas, objectives, which encompass several concepts or ideas. Within each of the objectives there are goals or actions, which can be specified and measured. In addition, time frames for accomplishment can be delineated. Both objectives and under-riding actions may be adjusted and updated during the life of this plan and the supporting execution plan.
  The Pillars of Progress are numbered one through eight. This is not meant to establish a priority sequence. Each Pillar is integral to achieving the vision and therefore equal emphasis should be placed on the accomplishment of all goals/actions within each objective. Because resources may need to be appropriated to achieve some of the objectives and related actions, a timeline may be established to provide a suggested flow and as a means to provide focus at appropriate times.

Rationale:
A dedicated program to review and update our organization, and the way we do business, is needed to make our Grand Lodge capable of timely response to the needs of constituent lodges.
Objectives:
Identify areas where Grand Lodge can assist constituent lodges.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the Grand Lodge Organization to be responsive to positive changes and new opportunities.
Assess the talents of individual members, as a pool of resources, to be placed in strategic leadership positions/roles.
Alter the structure of the Grand Lodge Organization, where needed, to insure the efficient implementation of the Vision and Pillars of Progress. The objective is to have a Grand Lodge that is well organized, well managed, efficient, and uses technology to its best advantage.
Actions:
Develop roles and responsibilities for each appointed Grand Lodge officer, e.g., serve as chair of a Standing Committee.
Review the composition of committees to ensure that the members have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be effective.
Develop, maintain, and utilize as a talent bank, a data base of Committee assignments that Grand Lodge Team members have held.
Conduct a study to review and report on a potential change of date, location, agenda, and duration for the Annual Communication of Grand Lodge.
 Pillar No. 2: Education and Training
Rationale:
Education has long been a priority in Freemasonry. Through a series of well developed and presented courses of instruction, Lodge Officers and members will gain an understanding of what it truly means to be a Mason, increase their interest and involvement, and motivate them to increase and share that knowledge.
Objectives:
Establish and implement educational programs designed to teach and apply Masonic knowledge to the daily lives of the membership.
Provide Masonic leaders the necessary training to manage and allocate resources to achieve optimum results.
Actions:
Task the Grand Lecturer, with the assistance of the Research and Education Committee, to develop and conduct regional programs for Deacons and Stewards, that includes floor work and symbolism, per the guidelines in the Lodge Officers Handbook.
Task the Grand Lecturer to develop and conduct training workshops for the Deputies of the Grand Master, as directed by the Grand Master.
Investigate and evaluate the possibility of allowing copies of the Standard Work, currently used by the Grand Lecturer and the Deputies, to be made available to the Worshipful Master of the Lodge during his term of office.
Develop a course outline for a Masonic University that can be used throughout the Jurisdiction providing education, ritual and floor work, symbolism, and Masonic history.

Pillar No. 3: Technology
Rationale:
Lodges need access to membership statistics, easier methods of communicating with Grand Lodge and their own membership, easier methods for managing their finances and lodge data, and provide Masonic education.
Objectives:
Utilize technology to improve lodge administration and Masonic education.
Actions:
Expand the Grand Lodge data base system to allow easier access by constituent lodges.
Create interactive forms for lodge reports.
Create web hosting through the Grand Lodge Office and provide a template for all lodges in the Jurisdiction.
Create and issue electronic formats of all ritual work as authorized by the Code.
Develop interactive Masonic educational programs.
Pillar No. 4: Family Involvement
Rationale:
To attract men of high quality, Masonry must develop and implement programs, which are of interest to the whole family. The time spent in Masonic brotherhood should, to a certain extent, fulfill a brother’s needs as a Mason, while concurrently satisfying his wishes to be with his family or to meet their needs through his Masonic association.
Objectives:
To develop a closer tie between individual Masonic families by well-planned activities within the lodge framework that will include all family members.
Actions:
Task the Membership Development Committee to form a focus group composed of a cross section of brethren from throughout the Jurisdiction, and their wives, to identify those family oriented activities/events, which could be conducted at Grand Lodge functions, such as the Grand Lodge Communication, cornerstones or district meetings. The composition of the focus group should be broad-based in terms of age and experience.
Task the Membership Development Committee to review ongoing activities in the Jurisdiction, where some lodges have been working to get their families involved, and develop a database of family activities accomplished by constituent lodges for dissemination/review by all lodges in the Jurisdiction.
Recognize the opportunities that Masonic youth organizations provide for family oriented activities and encourage participation by lodge members.
Pillar No. 5: Community Involvement
Rationale:
To be relevant in today’s society, the Masonic Fraternity must recognize that its members desire to use their personal and collective talents to promote the basic tenets of our institution outside the walls of their lodge rooms.
Objectives:
Develop and foster positive relationships and partnerships within Washington as a community at large.
Seek ways in which Masons and lodges can be significant and meaningful participants in the health, growth, and enrichment of their local communities.
Recognize organizations and individual members of the community, from outside of the Fraternity, who espouse Masonic ideals and character, for their outstanding service.

Actions:

Under the direction of the Public Relations Committee, develop, implement, and expand a speaker’s bureau throughout the Jurisdiction to build awareness of Masonry among key community organizations, government and community leaders.
Task the Public Relations Committee to coordinate with service organizations, on a statewide level, to identify those areas of common concern where constituent lodges may partner to be of greater service to the community.
Through the Public Relations Committee, sponsor/support community events statewide which enhance a positive image of the Masonic organization. Identify appropriate local fairs, festivals, and celebrations throughout the state. Encourage lodges to participate in them through booths, participation in parades, youth sports team sponsorships, etc.
Develop a program to recognize members of the community, outside of the Fraternity, for their outstanding service. Actively encourage lodges to forward deserving examples for Grand Lodge recognition. Develop media contacts to publicize such awards and activities.
Encourage lodges to identify and participate in local community service opportunities.
Encourage lodges to link their web sites to local and statewide community informational systems, such as local Chambers of Commerce.
Pillar No. 6: Public Relations
Rationale:
The perception the public has of Freemasonry affects our ability to enrich our communities through our various philanthropic projects, as well as, our ability to attract new members.
Objectives:
Develop, publish, and execute a Long Range Public Relations Plan.
Encourage and assist the constituent lodges to develop good working relationships with the local media in their communities or geographical areas.
Actions:
Task the Public Relations Committee to develop a Long Range Public Relations Program. The program should include as a minimum, the identification of the target audience, media they use or observe, and a proposed budget for at least a three-year time period. 
Task the Public Relations Committee to develop and deliver to the constituent lodges a comprehensive training program, including how to write a press release, on the media available to them, and ways to publicize events.
Task the Public Relations Committee to submit positive examples of public relation successes for publishing on the Grand Lodge web site and in Masonic publications.
Pillar No. 7: Fraternalism
Rationale:
Freemasonry is founded on the principles of Friendship, Morality, and Brotherly Love. If we as Freemasons plan for our Fraternity to prosper with new membership and to have brethren remain active in our lodges, we must all share these common principles.
Objectives:
To communicate the meaning and importance of Fraternalism.
To promote programs encouraging visitation and cooperative activities among lodges.
To be able to identify talents within the Fraternity and make use of them when the occasion should require.
Actions:
Encourage the districts to form a Lodge Officers and Members Association (LOMA), or a variation thereof, to encourage participation and interaction between the lodges.
Encourage the development of a “Sister Lodge” program within the Jurisdiction, whereby lodges will develop relationships with lodges in other parts of the State.
Continue establishing “Mentor” programs in the lodges whereby newer Masons develop a personal report with more experienced and knowledgeable Masons.

Pillar No. 8: Cooperation with Concordant Organizations
Rationale:
Many members of the Masonic Fraternity are also members of concordant organizations. These organizations share the same basic tenets and are another avenue to participate in good works and fulfill the desire to make a difference in a brother’s respective community.
Objectives:
To raise awareness and strengthen the bond that exists within the Masonic Family including its concordant and appendent organizations.
To foster support for Masonic Youth Orders and recognize that their strength and viability will improve the future of the Masonic Fraternity.
To recognize that by working together, we can strengthen our combined abilities to take advantage of the various opportunities facing the Fraternity today and in the future.
Actions:
Grand Lodge to remain an active participant in the Washington Masonic Alliance.
Encourage the formation of local coordinating councils, composed of organizations meeting in the local lodge hall.
Task the Youth Committee to develop an informational program for lodges on how to start and sponsor a Masonic Youth Order.
Task the Public Relations Committee to have speakers available to address concordant bodies regarding Grand Lodge activities.
Sponsor a “Concordant Body of the Month” program to stimulate attendance, education and cooperation.

Martire ha oggi dichiarato che finalmente è stata raggiunta, alle spese della Massoneria, l’Unità Spirituale della Nazione Italiana.
Poiché la Massoneria in Italia ha rappresentato l’ideologia e l’organizzazione reale della classe borghese capitalistica, chi è contro la Massoneria è contro il liberalismo, è contro la tradizione politica della borghesia italiana … in realtà il fascismo lotta contro la sola forza organizzata efficiente che la borghesia capitalistica avesse in Italia.” (allocuzione dall’intervento dell’On. Cosa sia in realtà la Massoneria, o meglio cosa dovrebbe essere, un’alleanza di uomini liberi, una via di formazione alla vita, scuola di condotta morale ed un approccio verso la modernità, il progresso ed infine una via spirituale.

La Massoneria, infatti, attraverso l’insegnamento ha sempre ricercato l’accesso a tutta la cultura ma che sovente una società politica contemporanea o un cieco oscurantismo ecclesiale sono dimentichi o distratti sui grandi uomini che hanno voluto tramandare ed ancor più sviluppare quei principi di libertà e laicità che furono fondamento per una democrazia compiuta.

Azioni di grandi uomini quali ad esempio, per una certa ideologia di sinistra, Bakunin e Marx, entrambi Massoni, così come per una certa destra, Pavolini e Storace, pur non commentando ovviamente la loro funzione all’interno dell’Istituzione; che ben si differenzia storicamente, da personaggi maggiormente dediti alla letteratura, alla filosofia ed in genere alle scienze umanistiche e sociali, oltre che alla politica, una politica con la “P” maiuscola, per la quale potrei citare Cavour, Crispi, Salvemini, ecc…, personaggi che per me e per noi e l’intera moderna società vollero lasciare come retaggio o come insegnamento, gli ideali di una democrazia compiuta, e che taluni fecero di questi e per questi ideali cimento, con il rischio della propria vita (ricordo a riguardo Cesare Battisti, il Pellico e Maroncelli oltre al Manara, Bixio, ecc …).

La Massoneria è ed è sempre stata una scuola di vita, un modo di essere e di esistere, le cui vere ricchezze sono poggiate su principi razionali di liberta, fratellanza ed uguaglianza, ciò rende il presupposto che la vita non possa essere solamente come la viviamo, ma anche come ci poniamo ad essa e in ciò che ci circonda e a coloro che sono il nostro sociale.

Quello che oggi come ieri è stato sovente la rovina dell’uomo, non è solo la sete di danaro, l’ostentazione di una peraltro effimera ricchezza, sempre più spesso oggi ottenuta non correttamente, ma quel che va ritenuto peggiore è il potere assolutista ottenuto con impossibili promesse di benessere comune che sempre più spesso si rivela coniugato con l’individualismo egoistico, o peggio con un opportunismo bieco.

La Massoneria ha da essere “Amore in azione”, ossia fai agli altri tutto il bene che vorresti gli altri facessero a te, in buona sostanza “ama il prossimo tuo come te stesso”.

Questo è il semplice esempio che un vero massone deve capire e far intendere con le proprie forze, attraverso una dioturna partecipazione all’intero del suo entourage, o meglio sarebbe, nel contesto sociale in cui vive ed è inserito, in quanto lo scopo ultimo di un’istituzione iniziatica come quella Massonica, oggi non è - e non può essere - solo riferita all’originario retaggio storico-filosofico di una più antica scuola di vita che trova le sue radici nei Padri Fondatori che la edificarono il 24 Giugno 1717, festa di San Giovanni Battista, perciò designato quale protettore.

Padri fondatori che specificatamente furono un pastore presbiteriano James Anderson, un pastore anglicano Jean-Théophile Desaguliers - tra l’altro profugo ugonotto francese - e il nobile letterato George Payne primo Gran Maestro della formatasi prima Gran Loggia inglese il quale, tra l’altro, scrisse il Regolamento Generale dei Franco Massoni editandolo nel 1722.

Non solo ! non possiamo quindi come accennato, trascurare tutti coloro che con la loro conoscenza e scienza hanno contribuito al processo storico, politico, letterario e scientifico all’evoluzione democratica e sopratutto laica, dello sviluppo sociale per l’intera società e ancor più in un contesto umano a carattere universale, non per questo dimentichi della parte più recondita ed intimistica dell’essere che è la spiritualità insita in ogni uno di noi, la coscienza.

Questo in buona sostanza è ciò che unisce i suoi affiliati al di là dei confini geopolitici !

La Massoneria è ed ha da essere un ambiente privo di pregiudizi e dogmi, ciò al fine di compiere quel vero processo alchemico o meglio quel processo sul proprio “IO” che si traduce nel conoscere se stessi con senso razionale pur non tralasciando il profondo “SE” della propria coscienza.

Questo è, o dovrebbe essere, l’azione della Massoneria oggi, un metodo efficace, perché elaborato, come retaggio da grandi menti del passato nel corso della lunga storia dell’uomo, menti che seppero sciogliere il dubbio amletico ossia “l’essere o il non essere” al fine di operare per un agire socialmente conforme e permettere,a noi contemporanei, attraverso un’opera introspettiva, il raggiungimento di una forma sciente razionale che ci consenta, spezzare le pesanti catene del negativismo in favore di un positivismo che è in ciascuno di noi, che spesso per opportunismo o circostanze sociali avulse dal subconscio restano sopite, celate dietro una cortina in cui diviene quasi impossibile distinguere il bene da ciò che è male, un male a cui spesso l’uomo debole o acculturato o peggio per pigrizia mentale, partecipa trascinato e sostiene andazzi politici o economici di leader che mirano solo al mantenimento del proprio status o potere.

Ecco semplicemente descritto cosa e come si debba porre la Massoneria e l’essere Massoni e cosa ancor più importante quale sia la visione oggi per me-consentitemi noi, si intenda la Massoneria e le ragioni per cui l’Istituzione venga sovente avversata da certi poteri e da oscurantismi più o meno non solo clericali.

Ammetto che come tutto ciò che è parto di uomo sia perfettibile e non perfetto, quindi anche in Massoneria - cosi come alcune cronache hanno riportato che ben note vi sono, vi siano state delle devianze, che però vanno fatte rientrare nella sfera dei singoli individui permeati da opportunismi insulsi, soggetti che pur facenti disgraziatamente parte di una Loggia o di una Obbedienza Massonica, nulla hanno capito dell’essenza di tale nobile Istituzione e delle sue tradizioni, essendo, a mio parere questi individui, uomini che non proiettano ombra anche sotto il sole più cocente.

Parlare quindi ora di Squadra e Compasso, mi sembra quasi superfluo, in quanto ritengo di aver se pur brevemente illustrato “la Massoneria oggi” e la sua visione di ciò che dovrebbe essere il mondo nella sua essenza comunemente rappresentata appunto con una Squadra ed un Compasso.

Ad ogni buon conto posso indicare che per un Massone la Squadra significa rettitudine, nella dizione più assoluta del termine e non solo, ma questa rettitudine ha da essere un principio fondato nel comportamento sociale oltre che e sopratutto morale e spirituale.

Mentre il Compasso altro non indica riferimento al grado di conoscenza individuale, quindi un oggetto che via più che si prosegue nel cammino istituzionale si apre dai 45° sino - è auspicabile - a divenire una retta, quindi un’evoluzione non solo razionale ma anche della coscienza arricchita dalla conoscenza.

Una retta, che essendo per principio uno degli elementi fondamentali della geometria, che Euclide definisce come il concetto primitivo o meglio un ente geometrico con una sola dimensione illimitata, cioè infinita.

Quindi posso asserire che questo è il concetto primitivo di infinito. Infinito da cui tutto trae origine ovviamente in un contesto escatologico-filosofico, per cui questa retta diviene ciò che non ha limiti. Tanto è che nella cultura sia Occidentale che Orientale trova espresso con il Divino quale essere infinito e in Massoneria con il Grande Architetto, ovvero colui che tutto ebbe a progettare ed oggi più di ieri a noi sta l’impegno, costruire quel tempio interiore al fine di indicare o meglio proiettarci in una società scientemente volta a migliorare se stessa pur custode della tradizione.

Sono parimenti cosciente che oggi è necessario evitare di confondersi nell’arcipelago di nomi e di sigle che costituiscono il panorama Massonico o framassonico contemporaneo, per cui occorre ed è necessario un distinguo anzitutto fra ciò che si definisce Obbedienza e ciò che consiste Rito, due diverse realtà del corpo Massonico che vengono sovente confuse o sovrapposte.

Le Obbedienze sono formazioni di Logge o gruppi nazionali di Logge, che accettano l’egida di una Gran Loggia originaria internazionalmente riconosciuta, derivata dalle tre grandi Obbedienze storiche, ossia la Gran Loggia Unita d’Inghilterra, il Grande Oriente di Francia e la Gran Loggia Madre del mondo di Washington, da cui noi discendiamo.

In una Gran Loggia al vertice vi è un Gran Maestro che presiede la stessa e sovrintende i primi tre gradi esercitati nelle Logge e quindi è una struttura orizzontale.

Il Rito è un sistema di gradi, ossia una struttura verticale, e viene presieduto da un Gran Consiglio che fa capo a un Sovrano Gran Commendatore, questo nel caso del Rito Scozzese Antico Accettato che ha da essere anche questo, legittimato da una istituzione Massonica internazionalmente riconosciuta, nel nostro caso, dal Sovrano Gran Commendatore Fred Kleinknecht, Presiedente la Gran Loggia Madre del Mondo (USA).

All’interno di una stessa Obbedienza, ossia una Gran Loggia regolare e riconosciuta, possono essere praticati diversi Riti, senza che questo comporti particolari tematiche.

Nei gradi del R:.S:.A:.A:. si accede ad una via iniziatica con caratteristiche e insegnamenti specifici che vengono trasmessi nei diversi gradi, dal 4° al 30° chiamati gradi speculativi, mentre sono detti gradi sublimi il 31° 32° e 33° che presiedono anche in parte l’operatività amministrativa.

Tutto questo è chiaro in teoria, ma in pratica, soventi ragioni di opportunismo o mi sia consentito di farabuttagine, hanno spesso determinato scismi nelle Obbedienze creando delle Logge così dette spurie, sempre più spesso cadute sotto le attenzioni della Magistratura; qualche volta questo è avvenuto anche perché ambiziosi auto-proclamatesi Gran Maestri vollero presiedere anche il Rito, o peggio millantando un’eredità per altro inesistente negli statuti della Massoneria, ma come già affermato l’ uomo è perfettibile, certamente non perfetto.

Termino con dire: “Fac sapias et liber eris”, ossia “il sapere rende liberi” è questo un moto su cui vi è sarebbe molto da riflettere, moto della ormai consentitemi, “vecchia storica Loggia Madre Zarathustra”, che oggi compie 28 anni di operosa attività, al cui Maestro Venerabile va la mia stima, cosi come al mio Gran Segretario, ed ad entrambi auguro buon lavoro.

Ed ancora “Honeste vivere, alterum non laedere, suum cuique tribuere”, ovvero “vivere con onestà, non danneggiare gli altri, dai a ciascuno il suo”, questo è il motto dell’UMSOI, un fondamento oltre che un principio che auspico che dovrebbe sempre essere tenuto presente da tutti, e non solo dai massoni.

 Come comunicato oggi ricorre anche il quattordicesimo anno di fondazione dell’unica vera internazionalmente legittimata, Gran Loggia d’Italia UMSOI, a cui va plauso al suo attuale Gran Maestro, ed a tutti i fratelli ad essa iscritti.

Si sappia che fu voluta e fondata dall’ex Gran Maestro del GOI - Armando Corona, su indicazione e con il sostegno di chi oggi vi parla.
Armando Corona a cui rivolgo un affettuoso ricordo, fu l’UMSOI a ridare lustro credito e dignità in ambito Massonico a questo uomo, che la Massoneria impropriamente denominata GOI,( vedasi sentenza tribunale di Roma del 25 ottobre 1995 ) che solo per numero di adepti viene considerata importante nel nostro Paese, ha relegato “Armandino” il Corona, in un limbo ignorando che fu questo piccolo grande uomo a trarla dall’impiccio a tutti ben noto….., ma questo è un altro discorso.

E’ con un tenero pensiero per tutti voi che vi mando un Mondo di Auguri.

Natale e Capodanno due feste di antica tradizione, con l’una inizia un anno nuovo, che deve, quale auspicio vedere riaccesa la speranza per una vita migliore.

Con l’altra il Natale, festività per la quale dovremo rinsaldare i legami naturali d’esser umanità, rinnovando ciò che dovrebbe essere quel patto sociale di mutuo aiuto, in un reciproco rispetto e amore per l’intera “società”.

Un doppio programma quindi, da ricordare a tutto il Mondo e soprattutto a coloro alle prese con problemi assillanti del quotidiano, far sapere che esiste una cosi detta “Divina providenza” che altri non è, che un doveroso fraterno sostegno morale e spirituale.

AUGURI ! siate messaggeri di pace e armonia per i vostri cari, e per tutti coloro che avete a cuore.

Principato di Monaco 1997

Andorra  Principato Questo è uno stato nelle montagne Pyrennes tra Francia e Spagna. Ha una superficie di circa 170 chilometri quadrati e una popolazione di oltre 60.000. Tre sono le lingue parlate: catalano, spagnolo e francese.

La Commissione ha ricevuto una richiesta di riconoscimento del Gran Maestro della Gran Loggia di Andorra-umsoi che ne attesti la Gran Loggia si è costituita con sette logge e che la Gran Loggia aveva adottato la costituzione della Gran Loggia della California. 

Il Venerabile Fratello Lemon Douglas, Past Gran Maestro della California, è stato autorizzato dal Gran Maestro della California per assistere alla consacrazione di questa Gran Loggia, che si è tenuta a Monaco con 4 logge presenti composte di fratelli italiani le 7 logge presentate per l’omologazione Sono: San Jordi-San Lorenzo-Saint Juan-fratelli di Andorra,- Migth and Freedom-Zarathustra-Avesta-A. Pike di fratelli italiani (UMSOI) 
 La Commissione ha informato il Gran Maestro che ha richiesto ai sensi delle norme di legittimità del riconoscimento di origine per le logge in cui è stata fondata la Gran Loggia. E ’stato fornito una copia del libro Commissione “Gran Loggia riconoscimento”.

Gran Loggia Nazionale Francaise (GLNF) ha due logge costituite in Andorra e la Gran Loggia di Spagna ha una loggia in Andorra. Nessuna di queste logge sono coinvolte in questa Gran Loggia.

It has an area of about 170 square miles and a population of more than 60,000.
